Curb weight is the total weight of the empty truck with the fuel tank, cooling system, and crankcase filled. Additionally, it also includes the weight of tools, spare tire, and all other equipment specified as standard. However, this weight does not include the weight of the payload and operator.
Yup, "curb weight" is the weight of the vehicle with all fluids to capacity, including fuel, and all normal equipment, which would not include tools and a spare tire for the Z06.
The few available options on the Z06 won't make a material difference in curb weight. For a light fuel load subtract six pounds per gallon from the capacity of 18.5 gallons. Windshield washer fluid weighs about the same as water - 8.2 pounds per gallon.
I recall that GM listed the curb weight of the '01 Z06 as 3126 pounds, and the owner's information packet must weigh at least a pound.
My 01 Z06 weighed in at 3150 pounds on the local highway truck scales without me in the car but with about a half a tank of gas. The scales are supposed to weigh to the nearest 50 pounds.
For reference, my 95 Z28 weighs 3400 with just under half a tank of gas. My Viper GTS weighed in at 3450 with over half a tank of gas, and my brothers Mitsubishi 3000 GTVR4 was 3850 pounds, all on the same truck scales.
I'm guessing that a new Mustang GT would be around 3400 pounds.
My car weighs 2980 w/ about 1/8 tank of fuel & low washer fluid. My headers are lighter than the cast iron manifolds, No Cats, & the brakes shaved off another 16 lbs. I know this ain't stock but I thought I'd post just for comparison.
My MSO listed my Z06 at 3045, which is the weight the car weighed when they put it on the transport truck. A mustang is a heavy P I G comparedly. (mustangs are nice cars, and seem a good bit smaller than Camaros, but they are heavier)
3110 lbs is extremely light. I mean, that is way light for a factory hotrod. This fact is often times glossed over but in reality, it is a huge benefit.
I don't worry much about what the car weighs, I figure I'm lighter than 80 % of Z06 owners so I've got the hp to weight ratio already in my favor. ;) Reminds me of the joke I read in the racing section. A racer is someone that will spend $400 on a lightweight starter to save a pound, but won't go on a diet. :yesnod:

LOL - Same here! At 150 lbs., I think I'm in that 20% population myself! :D
I've actually thought along the same lines as you, because when you think about it, a car that weighs as little as the Z06 does, driver weight can make a difference in the power to weight ratio (albeit slight). But hey, I'll take any advantage I can get :)
My car weighted 3175lb with ~1/4 tank and misc. junk in the trunk.
That’s with heavy a s s run flat tires :U.
Now with BFG G-Force KDs it should be even less :D
