Default The dragon is closed

road 129 in blount county tn. (the dragon) will be closed for a while,due to a rock slide. anyone planning to make the trip to drive the dragon
might want to hold up a while. i will let you know when it opens again

Damn I live nowhere near that but how can you NOT want to drive something with a cool name like, "The Dragon" ?

There are many alternatives right there. Actually, other than the span of switchbacks right at Deals Gap I think Moonshiner28 is just as good. Better road surface all the way along.

It wont be closed all that long. Its already clear, they are just afraid more rock will fall because it's "unsteady".

Cherohala skyway is better for cars anyways. You can open them up and not worry about 10mph harleys.
