I had GHL cat backs and an X pipe put on a few years ago. Now I have my tuner putting on a Halltech intake and some LG long tube headers with high flow cats. I think after these latest mods (intake and headers) I need a computer tune. I would appreciat hearing from others who DID NOT tune as well as those that DID DO a tune.
I know that there are several different computer programs like LS1 Edit that are used with lap top computers. What is a FAIR cost of doing that type of Edi for my mods ? I have been given a ball park which I want to see is Fair by your input. Thanks in advance.

I would agree that a tune would be a good thing to do with the mods you have/are planning to do. I've been quoted prices ranging from $350-500 for a tune around here.
James at shortuning.com will do it for 250. Don't know much else about him though. I'm in the same boat though. Just put on lg long tubes and looking for a good tune.
you will need a tune after installing long tube headers. the location of the rear o2 sensors changes to farther back, and you will get codes without a tune.
That's just turning off the MIL for the rear O2's.
If I didn't have the equipment to do my own computer work, There are a few guys that do mail order work that I'd probably use. They know what they're doing and they've done so many tunes on cars with the car on hand that they know what they can tweak to make your car perform better w/o putting it on a dyno or popping in a wide band.
