Man, I really HATE Corvettes!
Because all I have left on my Z06 is a custom interior and H/C which are both $$$. This has meant I have not really purchased anything for the car in some time.
Now the Vert comes into the picture, and I'm reading the damn parts for sale page every day again planning out mods

I hate them too!
When I bought mine, I resolved to leave it stock. I swore I wouldn't do squat to it, that modding was dumb, blah blah BLAH...
Then my Corvette viciously and without warning began a relentless assault on my wallet.
Anyway two years later:
custom interior with color change
Vararam intake
Long tube headers
Reinforced Tunnel Plate
MadVette Insulation kit
Cross drilled rotors
Powder coated calipers and brackets
Racing pedals
C6Z shifter
Chuck CoW Tune
Bit Viper's shorty antenna
...and whatever else I forgot.
coming down the pipe are 4.10 gears and an audio overhaul. Yowzers.
You have to watch these cars... they are sneaky.

I've owned a mix of cars with no mod support (Cadillac Deville, Scion XA{engine mods}), and a mix of cars with tons of support (Firebird T/A, Jeep Cherokee, Corvette) and the ones with the support are the ones I love!!

you guys are crazy. i LOVE modding my car. i will be sad when there is nothing left to mod lol. i guess when i am done modding, then i can spend more time on keeping the car looking new.

If you want to trade the Z there is plenty of cheaper stuff to still do on my 1999 Coupe that you can work on.
Always loved your Z. Would be my top choice of car and color if I was looking again for another C5. Good luck with the rest of the mods.

When I bought my car I promised my wife that there would be no mods, that's the only way she would agree to the purchase. I had a Jeep that I had a lot of fun modding which I guess she wasn't amused by.
Fortunately she either forgot about that promise or loves me enough to overlook it.

I just purchased my 04 coupe last december and the mods are my therapy. I go into the garage and enter a nice place. My mods aren't that extensive yet, so far I've added screens to the fender coves, added a flush mount kit for the rear tailights, painted the brake calipers and had the car pinstriped. While doing all this I also did some detailing to the wheels and inner fenders.

Here's the real answer, their made from fiberglass just like a boat in fact they are named after a small ship!
