I got up and decided to take the ole vette for a spin. when I started it up a message came across the dic saying that i had a right rear flat. I put some air in the tire and turned the car off to reset the sensor. After checking the air in the tire manually i turned the car back on and it still read that there was 0 pounds of pressure in the tire. The manual gauge read 32 pounds.. Anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it. Thanks
Foolishly, I learned this when I tried putting air in my wife's Tahoe and kept checking the display only to find it was not changing...then I learned... it's not that smart, and I guess I wasn't either.
I had to put air in my right front tire today and it took about 9 miles of my 12 mile commute for it to read right.
Yup same here. The car started flassing "flat tire, blah blah blah," so I stopped and looked, and my pressure was ok. It takes a couple of miles for the computer to recornize that the tires are up to par.
Dont sweat it, if you read the pressure and its proper with a hand guage, just use it, ignore the DIC for a bit (I wouldnt relearn the TPMS yet), see what happens.
