OK - I have decided to go with the Delco Professional battery - Is this a dealer item or where can you buy them? I have always had a red top in the car but have had several problems with them. I am just afraid that I might be out of town and the red top would give out and there would be no one there that could warrenty it. I know the battery issue is a never ending thread but I guess it is just something everybody has to deal with sooner or later. If you have any other suggestions as to what to put in my '01 hardtop (Automatic) Please feel free to express them. All the suggestions will help me to pick out the right battery for the C5

IMO you have made the correct decision. The 7 year AC/Delco Professional series battery is an excellent battery. Add a C-Tek 3300 battery tender and you can forget battery issues
I have one in my car. I got it at the "Bumper to Bumper". It seems to me that the warrenty on it states that if it fails in the first 60 months you get a new one free. One thing I do that most people don't do anymore is when I stop for fuel I rase the hood and give everything a look. Belts, hoses, battery etc. I guess it is a sign that I was raised when cars were not so reliable.
