There is 2 connectors there for the Harness to run to the rear, You still need the harness to run to the changer. Not installed in the car if it never had a changer.

I went and installed a changer in my car and used it for 2 years. Now I removed it and installed an itouch. IMO this is the only way to go.

OK, i understand but if i need to change my stock radio with a Ipod radio that would cost a t least 260$, then an Ipod would cost at least 150$ , so then i need to download songs (legally) at 1$ a pice, so i rather do it my way.

You can use your stock radio and burn your cd's to the itouch.
Just trying to save you some work before you trade up...lol

CD changer install
The connectors can be tucked under the carpet and/or tied to the metal support.
The COR-HAR wirwe harness from PIE can be had for $65- .This is the aftermarket wire harness as GM no longer stocks a harness for the CD changer. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...post1570652908
You will also need the vertical mounting bracket no longer available from GM.

FYI and DIY
As far as the harness , I posted a picture of the COR-HAR harness (PIE, INC.). It has the ten (10) pin connector for the CD changer and a three (3) and a four (4) pin connector(s) that plug into your existing harness at the footwell location.
Do you need an OEM verticle mounting plate ? No, if you can think of another way to mount the Cd changer vertically ( these CD changers are made to mount vertically and don't work as well horizonal).
FYI the two (2) CD side mounts and the verticle mount can be purchased for $165. But fabricating a DIY vertical mount is just a few dollars.

Chuck, you will need part number 25685332 model CDX-M2016 Pioneer or Delco 12 disc CD changer.

Chuck, i really hate to say this - and please don't take offense: welcome to the '80s!!!
you should listen to mr. Bill's advice. you can buy a mp3 player that will fit all your cd's for much less than $100. you don't have to get the newest i-pod and you don't have to download i-tunes. burn your cd's to your computer and download to the mp3 player. easy!!!
but it's your car - as always, do what you like...
