Service Column Lock Question
I had the column lock problem about a two years ago on my '01 MN6, and had it corrected at the dealership. Today I was on my way to Lowes and I get the Service Cloumn Lock on the DIC. I hit the reset and of course it cleared. When I came out of Lowes, and started the car it was there again. The car is running fine and no fuel cut off, I am not sure if I need to take it back to the dealer or not. The battery was down last week and I needed to charge it (battery tender on order). Could that have any thing to do with it?
I did do a search and found the Colunm Lock sticky, but it did not address my specific issue, more to the actual column locking issue.

could be...I always worry about the dealer fixes as they often fail eventually. I guess see what happens after you get the battery fully charged. I have seen the warning come on twice in cars I installed a CLB on but once I cleared the message it has never came back.

Thanks, as I was thinking that it maybe the battery is not fully charged, because now it has only happened when I first start the car.
