Bottom line, all true, gains only really noticed at higher RPMs, anything is better than a stock PAPER element (You try breathing through a paper filter). The reason the cost varies so much, some are CARB approved (silver tag important during smog test and needed to pass CA, laws). Others are either clones or originals never tested for hp gains and or CARB approval for Calif. (or states that require a CARB approval label). Hood seal is a must, and the looks are trick... This is one mode that is looks and a little improvement so a good one for most to install, plus a wide range of price for the man that has deep pockets or the one on a budget.. Enjoy the ride...

This is not true at all. There are other bottom feeders such as callaway honker and breathless performance

I have the Blackwing on mine. Its been on there for about 10k miles or so now. I am pretty happy with it.
