Default Bumper wall art

For any of you guys that converted your old C5 rear bumper into wall art, what modifications (cutting) did you have to do to make it fit on the wall properly?

i hung mine last weekend. still waiting on 1 piece to finish it. i used a combination of ceiling hooks, bungie cord and zip ties to secure it.

will take pics when it's all done.

it can't sit flat on a wall because the top is shorter than the bottom. the top needs to come out about a foot or so from the wall where the bottom touches.

if they both touch the wall the bumper will angle upwards and you won't be able to see it straight on.

I thought maybe they were being cut so that it would sit flat. It would "ruin" the bumper, but would make it sit completely flat on the wall, and at the proper angle

of course you can do that. if you're 100% certian you won't ever need it again go for it.

i hung mine up as it is coming off the car, so if i ever had to use it again in a pinch, i could.

Here are a few photos of how I did mine. It is mounted to two pieces of 2x4 fastened to the wall. I did the whole thing first on the floor and then attached to the garage wall. I have a strand of Christmas bulbs that outline the whole bumper with yellow bulbs and white bulbs in the tail light sockets. Hope it helps.

I know it is an old thread, but nice job coming up with a mounting solution for the rear fascia.
