Last year I put in a new air intake, GHL's and had professionally tuned.
The Vette runs great, but at around 2300 rpm's I get the pinging sound. At no other time does it do this. There are no codes appearing.
Should I sea foam for carbon build-up, change the knock sensor or ???
Any valid ideas or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks
I get some pinging when I haven't driven it hard for a while. I usually just put my foot in it once or twice and "blow it out" - goes away until next time. If I remember to goose it every time I head out, it stays away. So, you could try a couple WOT passes to see if this helps. If not, then Seafoam/Techron combo in the fuel tank might do it; it worked for me when I had the dreaded fuel sender issue and it helped clean up the combustion chambers quite well. Having said all that, a trip back to the tuner would surely fix it, I hope.
