I can't tell them apart from looking at them. I've seen both off the cars. There probably is a number stamped on the cans that would tell you which is which,
Don't Know about parts number,,as far as I know(and I'm not an expert) the main difference is a little ring of small rectangular just inside the inlet of the mufflers on the touring. These are supposed to be some kind of anti-reversion system that is supposed to help cancel noise without restricting flow. From what I've read you can slip some 2 1/2" exhaust pipe in and cover the ports(you have to fix it in position) and this will make it sound more like the Pace Cars. I plan on giving it a try sometime. Touring DO sound a LOT better than most guys make it out to be here. Got to here them on start up inside the very large state emission test garage(3 bays wide with waiting boots between,,18 ft ceilings 25 ft deep and doors open) and I was surprised at the healthy bellow when it fired up. They do scream pretty well as the tach swings high(I shift at 6,000 on the strip) and they certainly flow well enough for performance,,I can regularly run LOW 13's(best 13.08/110.24) with only a Blackwing filter and Corsa touring. Still running the stock H-pipe right now, till I get time to install the X I got recently. If you get a good deal,,go for it,,and don't worry about which one. They both sound good,,wail at full throttle!! The Touring are GREAT on the highway!! The 6speeds have a resonance range around 1,300 to 1,500 and with the touring you need the windows up,,radio off to barely hear a faint hum from the back !! My 2 cents I had a thread a couple of years ago,,something like "I must be an old fart,,I love my Corsa Touring" and got tons of hits and posts. Corsa touring guys just aren't as vocal as the BB and stinger guys !!!
If you ever get the chance to stand in back of both cars , one with pace car, the other with touring, I'll bet you choose the pace car. Nicer idle, better sound on rev up! You'll see, I mean hear!
Steve I bought a used set or Tourings from a forum member for 600.00 last year. I thought they would be much tamer sounding than they are. I love the way they sound at idle and they really come alive at wot. I was actually wondering if they were Pace Cars and not Tourings. Anyway I love them. BTW the YT rockers you sold me are still going strong.
