When you get the bolts for the front they do not have a rubber bushing like the stock ones. They come with a really thin plastic "cover" (for loss of words) that snaps on the head of the bolt. It is to prevent the head of the bolt from wearing on the lower A arm.
Cutting the "stock" bushing with a hack saw would allow you to lower the car almost 1/2 inch with the same results.
The rear is simply a longer bolt. My father sold these grade 8 bolts in his hardware store for around $3.00 a piece. The local hardware store still does. Take the old bolt to the local hardware store and ask for 2 new ones an inch longer. "BAM" you saved $50.00 and didn't have to wait for shipping, or pay for it.
Make sure you buy grade 8 bolts, they are stronger.
Yes, you definatly need to drop the front more.
The stock bushing is almost an 1" thick if it's not smashed into 1/2" like mine was, so you can gain 1" more drop from stock. I agree, cutting the bushing and leaving a thin coat of rubber left is the same as the Zip bolt.
On the rear bolts, you want them 2" longer than stock, so you can drop it 2" from that horrible 4x4 stance the C5 comes with.
