I will be ordering LG G2 coils and T1 sways from LG Motorsports later this week/early next week and noticed they sell a bump steer kit for it, is this needed when lowering a vette? I have gone coils on other cars and not had issues with bump steer, but I am a noob when it comes to vette suspension.
Bump steer is the unplanned change of direction of a wheel when going through jounce to rebound. Therefore, in my opinion, "yes" a bump steer kit is needed....even with coil spring suspension. I have one on my 63 Z06.

What do you coilover guys think?
A bump steer kit used to correct the geometery of the suspension when you raise or lower it.
The need for a bump steer kit really depends on how much you alter your ride height. If you don't crazy, you'll probably not need one.

The factory, car is out a bit stock if you ever have a chance to run a bump steer gauge on one of them. At least for what you would want in a race car.
It is one of those things to think about and gives you one more piece to dial the car in.
Like coil overs give you the ability to change the ride height and are also more adjustable to corner weight the car, these are going to make sure that the wheels are staying pointed in the right direction during suspension travel.
