Default Amazing Stuff....

When I finally made up my mind to look at a Corvette..I drove only 2!!! A very nice 2000 with Automatic...and then my new 2000 coupe with a six-speed...Drives like a new car!!! I have restored about 10 cars in my life, and always had to bring them "back from the dead"...this is the first car I have ever bought ( play car) that I actually had to strip and remove excess wax...!!! Stripped the old wax, clayed, and finally waxed with a foam pad yesterday...for those of you that have been following my threads, thought I would have to color-sand out some scratches on the R/Rear fender...but they waxed out!! When we decided to sell our collector cars last year ( and get down to 3 cars from 5)...really was depressed, and tried out another car (Lexus Sc430) which was a car I always wanted...but never drove until I bought. Very, very nice car...but after trouble -shooting and driving for 6 months...not really my kind of car. I had sold my prize '06 Miata (only 5,000 miles..with performance options)...and although the Lexus was very, very refined..did not give me the performance I guess I always wanted. Strangely enough, made the decision to buy a 'Vette, drove the second car...and bought it.!!! Sold my Lexus the next day!!...I could have looked for a year, and not found a nicer car than the 'Vette I bought. To make it even more interesting...wanted to replace the driver's seat cover ( a little worn like most '00 Vettes) ..went to a store selling out their inventory yesterday...and bought a "used" virtually new OEM light-oak seat cover for only $100...strangely how things work out when they are "meant to be"...Bob

Default seat covers

It was a "one day" thing...and we got the only "used" OEM seat cover...just the "luck of the draw" ...or something like that...
