Looking for Stripes
Who has the best stripes for hood and trunk. I am looking to add stripes to my torch red vert. Any help or suggestions on where to look would be appreciated.
just got some from Vettestripes. smooth and fast transaction - the material seems quite good . BUT - I'd recommend having a pro install them - I ended up with some wrinkles/creases that look bad (diy)... think I'm just going to have a shop paint them on where the vinyl is.
Expensive lesson learned.
I like the look though - and Vettestripes has been great to deal with

Check out VetteStripes. He seems to be the most widely used.

This is the same person I told you about. Mike is a great guy with excellent stripe kits !!!
By the way, Tennessee Tint will install them. I had asked them about installing a set if I bought them. The price was not bad either ($75).

I leaning on going with him. Already got a quote for a set of stripes for a convertable. I think I will be going gloss black on a torch red 01 vert. If I do this I hope it turns out well.

Black on red works well. I just installed an ACI front nose splitter on my '01 Torch Red coupe and painted it matte black. It looks good.
I have a set of the Ron Fellows GS style two tone fender stripes I got from Mike. The main stripe is dark charcoal and the thin boarder stripe is silver. I just have not put them on yet. That color also goes well on TR. I got the idea from a TR C6 that was at the NCM pick-up area.
For the full body stripe (hood and trunk), you may want to see about having a professional install it. Good luck and post some pictures when it is done.
I did mine in my carport. It took a while. I bought some bulk reflective tape from the guy who did my lettering. I used my wifes cookie cutter as a pattern for the stars. I had to use a spray bottle of warm water and a hair dryer to get the tape as smooth as I could. Looked better before a mustang took my rear off. Forgot to cut the polish off when I reinstalled it.
