Default FRC Weather Strip Problem--need help

Due to my height (6ft 7in) and age (67) I tend to rub against the weather striping on my FRC roof when I get in it. It's to a point that it will not stay in the roof channel any longer. It was not glued in by the factory, the roof channel held it in as it does on the passenger side. Can I glue it in with weather strip cement with out causing any future problems or is there so other fix that i am not aware of? Should I buy a complete new strip and replace the old one that will no longer hold?

I have weather striping coming out on both sides I'm afraid. I even get drips of water into the car if it rains (*sigh*). Can anyone post some help on replacing weather striping?

From the service manual:

Weatherstrip Replacement - Lift Off Panel

Remove the roof lift off panel.
Remove the screws from the ends of the weatherstrip.
Remove the weatherstrip from the weatherstrip retainer.
Clean the surface with 3M™ adhesive remover P/N 8984 or equivalent.
Installation Procedure
Apply a 6.0 X 40 mm (0.25 X 1.5 in) bead of sealer GM P/N 12345739 Canadain P/N 10953541 to the front and rear corners of the retainer as shown in the illustration.
Apply the bead of sealer to the roof.
Apply the bead of sealer to the retainer.
Apply the bead of sealer to the ends of the retainer.
Important
Do not touch the adhesive backing on the new weatherstrip.
Remove the protective backing from the foam tape on the ends of the new weatherstrip, or install two sided tape 3M™ P/N 06377 or equivalent to the ends of a reused weatherstrip.
Install the weatherstrip into the retainer using a nylon spatula or your fingers. Start at the forward edge and work rearward.
Notice
Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Install the screws at the ends of the weatherstrip. Hold the weatherstrip to prevent the weatherstrip from rotating. Tighten
Tighten the side weatherstrip screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
Install the roof panel.

Is there anyplace to buy the weatherstrip that is cheaper than $300-$400?? I have a few tears in my driver side and am hearing a lot of road noise.

depending on how much your head hits it, you can use some silicone to hold it in place. I had to do that on my STS Caddy. It didn't have any glue on it's weather stripping either and was always coming off.
