Well I finally got my new ACI front splitter painted and installed along with some new engine bling.
I went a little different than most do with the splitter. I decided not to have it painted to match the body, but instead I went with a matte black. It looks a little more aggressive and more like what you see on the ZR1. I know some will think it should be matching, but I like it. Besides I was able to do it in my garage with a few rattle cans of DupliColor.
I also added some new bling to the engine bay.
Here are a few pictures of the new splitter first showing the test fit prior to painting, then the completed project.
Here are a few shots of the before engine bay.
After the bling is added.
For those that wanted the complete car view here are a few I just took.

Reason: Added pictures of Complete car
First, that looks really really nice...Great choice. Now can we get a pic of the whole car? I'm curious to know how it looks.
Engine bay also looks very clean.
I see about getting the whole car later today or tomorrow at the latest this Saturday at a show I will be in. Right now it is up on jack stands so I can clean the wheel wells and suspension.

The front splitter looks fine in black - plus you didn't spend a fortune on painting it so when it gets chipped, you can just reshoot it with the spray paint.
I probably would have done the same thing, since i have a torch red with black interior. It just looks like it flows really well together! Great Job! To complement that, have you thought of painting the bottom portion of the rear end down by the exhaust and grilles, or whatever you call them, to match, like i have seen others do on here? Blacking out the DTR lamps would set it off also.

Thanks for the comments, and yes that is on my list of to do's. I was hoping to get to it this week, but it looks like it will have to wait a few more weeks. I plan on the same matte black finish as the splitter.

Nice looking engine bay too.
Thats what makes it nice when you paint them flat black with a clear..I just take a magic marker to cover chips up...And it will chip up..
Looks better black anyways good job.... ever consider doing the rear lower bumper blackout to tie it in together...black accents always look so good on TR and MY cars

Actually I was hoping to get that done as well while doing these additions. I have all the material I need, just ran out of time maybe in a week or two. I am in the process of a kitchen remodel and all new hardwood flooring. The Kitchen I just finished a few days ago, I am getting ready to start the flooring, so the vette projects will go back on the back burner. Will post pictures when done.

I feel your pain there I rehab houses for a living, always seems like the house eats up all of the time you want to go play with the vette.

...I was about to post the same question. I think matching the back rear fascia with the same black as the front spoiler would really complete the look.
Also, when installing the front splitter, the OEM flex spoiler is removed correct? Love the look, however I know I would tear that up just backing out of my driveway.
