Default OBX headers

Well, I bought a set. My tuner is not looking forward to them but, I will let you all know how i make out. the last time he tuned the car I was at 318.HP 338 TQ at the rear wheel.

OK they are in, didnt hear off any problems get them in but the dyno results are now 329 HP and 343 TQ at the wheel

We just got done putting these in... it was NOT an easy job. But I have to say the car sounds real GOOD.

Probably the cutting to make room for 02 sensors. My 3" LGs didn't need cuts, I don't understand why a 2.5" system does.

I still don't see the problem everyone is having with OBX headers.I installed my set by myself over a couple of days on a car that already had 114,000 miles on it..The install went very easy and cutting a couple of small holes in the tunnel plate for the 02's was a piece of cake..Ragin Racin did the tune on my car with very good results..

i just installed mine this past weekend and install wasnt so easy but i wouldnt say it was hard either. mostly time consuming about 7 hours it took me. only issue i had was going thru the top to get them in had to disconnect a few things in the way. drivers side was really easy. passenger side ehhh not so much. either way well worth the time and effort deff sound great!!!

I am 100% sure Don AKA Slowhawk will get these in and done right. He is the man.

...you only gained 11hp and 5tq? Are these numbers on 87 octane or something?

Has the car been tuned? If it has, something is screwy

Why does everyone think throwing a set of headers on is going to get them huge increases?
If his car was already tuned before the install, then the gains he got were pretty darn good I think.
It's the folks that install a set of headers, then tune the car that see the biggest increase in their numbers. And a lot of that is from the tune, not just the headers themselves.

It just seems a bit low even for rwhp gains.

Hell, with just a catback and xpipe I pulled 310rwhp/315rwtq on a Mustang Dyno (I'm told these are more conservative).

I've since put on a vararam, power duct, ported/polished tb, and with a set of LT's AND A TUNE for 93 octane I would hope to reach 350rwhp.

yes the car was tuned before thats how I had the numbers. Don AKA Slowhoawk did say his dyno read a little lower than the dyno he used the first time he tuned the car. I do love the new sound of the car now
