I am looking hard at purchasing a 2004 coupe 6m with z51 suspension.
I have driven a stock 2002 coupe 6m and find the ride quality to be good.
Does anyone know if you can soften the z51 ride without losing the positive cornering properties of the z51?....ie can you replace the higher spring rate z51 springs with the stock ones?......any other ideas?

The Z51 suspension option did not yield a hard ride - it is firmer, yes. I think before you consider ways to soften it up, you should drive a car with Z51. If I was buying a non-Z06 C5 - I would seek a Z51 car. To me it is the way the Corvette should have come stock.....but that's just my opinion. Drive one and form your own opinion.
