Default Oooops, Removed Front Emblem ...

I removed my rear corvette emblem without a problem, so I figured to complete the "clean look" I would remove the front. Everything was going along just fine when suddenly I realized there were two small holes where the emblem was. I was quite surprised because it seemed very unnecessary to have pins holding the emblem on. I did a bit of searching and found out others have discovered the same mounting holes as I did. Either way, the emblem was 3/4 off so I went through with it. I love the look of the front without the emblem, but those two small holes are killing me (close up)

So...

Has anyone painted their emblem the same color as their car, or does anyone have any suggestions for after-market front emblems ?

Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

If you are going for the clean look you should see what you can do about getting the holes filled.

I did the same thing, but then made and adjustment with a razor blade and replaced the emblem to cover the holes. It's a little cleaner look

I heated up the checkered flag and the red flag and took them out as they are inserts.

Looks much better on my Navy Blue Metallic. I only wish I could ditch the thing altogether but have nothing to cover the holes with.

Actually, I think all the generations of corvette had just the crossed flags. It was just the C5 that had that silly oval attached that makes it a pain to keep clean. The C6 went back to the crossed flags sort of.

I think the 'silly oval' looks way cool. Much better than the cartoony C6 emblem pictured above.

I forgot about the "silly circle" on the C4. My friends kept asking why I had a T-Bird emblem on my 89 Corvette. All silliness aside, my C5 emblem is a heck of a lot easier to polish around now.
