If you pull the lower cover, under the passengers side of the dash, you will be able to see the lower part of the blower motor. You may also notice a rust stain inside that lower cover. Look at the bottom of the motor and you will see the lower shaft is rusty. I just hit it with some WD-40 and the squeak went away. I then put a light coating of grease on it. Check the A/C drain and make sure it's not blocked allowing water to get into the heater/AC box.

On my 99, because I had the A/C Evap tube clog up and water backed up into the blower motor, I removed the motor and drilled a small hole in the bottom of the housing and shot some WD-40 into the hole...NO more squeaky fan motor.
Where is a/c drain location, sorry for dumb question!!!
It's right between the rear of the pass side exhausts manifold and the battery compartment on the firewall. There are a bunch of AC lines nearby. I extended mine with a hose because the AC dripped on my headers and it sounded like I was cooking a steak whenever I parked it.
I repaired the squeaky blower motor on my 99 FRC. Easy fix! However, before I even started, I found out that apparently someone had been in there before me. (I think it was the dealer.) Anyway, the I/P lower insulator panel that sits directly below the blower and the glove box and was in two pieces. I checked the service manual and it shows it as one piece. So, does anyone have have one of these insulator panels they may want to part with? (Black) Or, do you know where I can get one, other than at a dealer. They wanted $40.00 for the piece plus, and get this, $8.00 apiece for the plastic retainers. What a joke. Any help would be appreciated.
Well, I managed to make a temporary fix but would still be interested if anyone happens to have one of these insulator panels.
