i am a new owner of an '03 anniversary. I live in missouri. Any thoughts on putting it up on jacks in the winter to store in the garage to reduce flat spots on the tires?

I live in Nebraska and it does not seem to bother mine!
I live in Iowa and don't use blocks during the Winter. I do park the car in my garage on a nice piece of indoor/outdoor carpet and check to be sure the tires are @32lbs. Never had a issues with flat spots either on my GY runflats or my non runflat Michelin's.
Just park it and don't worry. Flat spots shouldn't be a problem at all. I park my car for 5-7 months of the year and fire it up and hit the road right away. Never had a problem.
Flatspots were mainly an issue on bias ply tires. Radials rarely, if ever, get flat spots. Usually a radial tire would have to be severly damaged to get a flat spot just sitting there.
For years, I would only see one of my cars 2 or 3 times a year.
Fill up the tank and mix in some Sta-bul. Drive it or let it run a while to get up to the engine, disconnect the battery or get a battery tender (better), inflate the tires to 40psi and cover the car. If you have any issue with insects or rodents, address them too. If possible, start it up and drive it every month.
When you get ready to drive, check the engine fluids, deflate the tires to 30 or 32 - whatever you normally run. Its also a good time to change the oil if its been a few months. A lot of us don't drive many miles per year for one reason or another, so 5K miles or once a year is my oil change schedule.
I think if you do a little research on the forum you will find that it is a bad idea to put your vette on blocks. It has something to do with leaving the suspension unloaded for too long, its not designed for that and can have negative affects. When I first bought my vette I actually called Goodyear and asked what they recommend, they said just park it there is no problem. My experience with storing my vette is to just park it, add some sta-bil and plug in a battery tender. Enjoy the car this summer.
I don't know of anyone who does store their car on jacks stands. It may get alot colder where you live but I can't tell where that is because you haven't finished filling out your profile.
OK thanks for all the replies. Now to the next question(and I have alot since I am a new owner). Do I change the oil every 3k miles or every 5k miles? Also, what oil filter do you all recommend? I changed the oil recently and used mobil 1
Thanks everybody
You'll get many different answers for that question. I do 5K miles or once a year, whatever comes first. 3K miles was the old standard. Oils and filters are better now. A lot do 5K, a lot go by the Oil Life Monitor on your DIC, which could mean many more miles before a change. Its your choice, but 3K is just wasting $.
I use only Mobil 1 in the Vette, with Delco UltraGuard UPF44 filters. Delco, Wix, Mobil 1 are good filters.
