I had jacking pucks before, but my car is so low that I couldn't fit my low profile jack under the car with the puck installed. Now I have the Elite Engineering rails with built in jacking areas. Best of all, you really don't even need to use the jacking points. The aluminum rails are lower than the rocker panels, so you can jack anywhere along the rails. They distribute the pressure over a wider area, so you can jack almost anywhere along the side of the car. Best of all, they are always installed - AND protect your car.
Save your money...Go to a big box sports store that sells hockey pucks.
I've bought 4 of them for between 99-1.99. Then measure the slot in your frame rail....go buy 4 eye bolts with the heads just a tad smaller than the length of the slot. Drill a center hole. in the puck..screw the eye bolt into the hole and cut off the excess bolt sticking out the other side....Save those bucks for the things you can't make yourself.....

Yes, these are a great solution. Jacking pads built right into the Rocker Frame Rails.
My thoughts also,I have one like he said you only need to jack up one side at a time.
i'm glad someone agrees with me, i do most all of my own work in my home garage thus, i do not need to buy four unless i plan to buy 3 more floor jacks. i already have 4 jack stands so that should be plenty unless you have money burning holes in your pockets.

I used to think the same thing until my car broke down in a little Podunk town in the Sierra Mountains. The only Repair shop within 70 miles had a two post lift - and no jacking pucks. Now I have the rails, so I never have to worry again.
What to do? I like the rail thingys and the nylon looking pucks. But, there seems to be something satisfying about making them yourself from hockey pucks.

I think I will have to sleep on this one.
The nice thing about the rails is the dual function. It protects your rocker panels from damage, and acts as a jacking point for lifting.
Hi There;
I made my own from hockey pucks.The only set of 4 I have are in a plastic bag in the trunk compartment.

Yep, cost me less than $6.50 to make four. I only use one at a time at home, but keep all four in the storage bin in case I end up at a shop that uses a 4-point lift.
