Default Build sheet question

I broke down, became a member of NCM and orderd the build sheet and window sticker package. Dumb question, shouldn't the build sheet have the build date on it? That's the one item I was interested in and I don't see it listed. Am I missing something?

The build sheet has dates, but the actual birth date is somewhere around the date the production order was established.

In order to obtain the actual specific date, there are a few members here that have access to GM VIS which will have all of the origination and service history on your car.

I've used Sponge Vette many times for this and he has always accommodated these requests. There are a few others here that can do it as well.

No, the build sheet doesn't have the actual completion date for the vehicle. Contact Gene at gmpartshouse.com or Dennis Fichtner at Fichtner Chevy (forum member CeYaBye) and they can get you the actual build completion date.

Was your car repainted or something? The build date is listed on a sticker the driver's side door jam area, unless I am mistaken.

Nope, all original. I'll run down later and take a look.

That just gives the month & year, not the full date.

I thought that would be sufficient... Sorry, didn't mean to imply that the sticker contained the day of the month as well.
