Default Satin Stretch Bra

Anyone running the satin strecth bra/mirror combo?

Any comments on how well it works or doesn't work?

Here's the one I'm talking about.

Does it have to install to the part of the bumper that fits under the hood? I've got a carbon piece installed there and don't want to put velcro on the carbon. It's a bear to get off, so I'm looking for an alternate solution.
Here's the part I'm talking about:

Looking for protection on my new paint job. Open to suggestions.

I've used these on my 04 CE Vert since new and it works just fine on bugs, small stones, and debris. Not sure it would be effective on rocks bouncing into it, but, hopefully, that doesn't happen enough to worry about it. Probably would mitigate it some but not sure.

I've see them on C5's and was impressed with the fit.

I have used it for years. No issues what so ever. It has three snap tabs that replace three screws in the fender well. There are 3 hooks (plastic) that go over your carbon fiber piece. They are safe and won't scratch. Hope this helps.

i use the gm bra. it fits great, wont flap at high speeds, and is super durable. the hood peice also offers additional protection. i think it looks MUCH better than the stretch bras too. it will also protect against rocks. You can also use it in the rain without dirt getting through it. the stretch bra will get soaked in the rain and cause dirt to seep through scratching the paint.

I have had one for a couple years. Work fine with bugs small stones etc. Recently I went through nebraska in the rain. Must have picked up allot of road dirt because my nose looked like someone took some sand paper to some areas. I buffed out the scratches but will never run one of these in the rain again. The nose was absolulety clean when I put it on so that wasnt the cause.

Joe, can you post up a picture of the snap tabs. I'm worried about them scratching up the carbon. I know you said it's fine, but I'd love to see it.

I've got a road trip coming up soon and am looking to get something like this. It looks like a great solution for out of town events because I can shove it in a cubby hole when I get where we are going.

Any other comments on driving with these in the rain?

I own both types of Muzzles (Bra-You call it what you want) LOL I also have the same set-up with the CF-Nose Piece. No Issues.
Anyway back to the point, the leather type does offer more protection due to the thickness of the material and stiffness.
The stretch satin fits extreamly well (tight) and is much easier to take on and off and looks 100% better.
I gave my leather muzzle away, I am sticking with the satin-stretch type.
PW: If you run either one in the rain you will have issues with road grime collecting and could pose issues with the paint. However, I can throw the stretch-satin cover in my washer or and local washer and clean it up like new!! It dries pretty quick also.
I really couldn't do that with the leather version.

Hope this helps.

im going to have to disagree on this. i have driven for thousands of miles in torrential rains at 80mph on the highway unsing my gm bra and it has not left a single scratch. As long as you wash it with mild soap after driving in the rain it wont scratch your car.

My experience says it can scratch the paint if you get dirt picked up by the rain trapped in the bra. It happened to me!! Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks! This is exactly what I needed to know. Any chance you can snap a picture of how it attaches over/to the carbon nose cap?

I figured that the bigger leather/pleather ones would be a bit more cumbersome and I would be less likely to use it on long trips. I figure this one looks so quick and easy I'd actually get it installed.

Any comments on the matching mirror covers?
