Did you look in your owners manual???. I'll look in mine but it's a 2000. Be right back........
Back... in the foot well on the passenger side #19 mini fuse "instrument panel control" & #25 mini fuse "BCM ignition1, instrument panel control". May be different in a 2002

I think fuse #6 on the footwell panel is also in the loop.
It could also be a problem with the switch on the trun signal stem. Do the lights work at start up but not when the lights ae turned on? If so the problem is likely in the stem. Not good.

Are the lights for the gauges (tach, speedo, etc) fused on their own? Seems like the instrument panel control one would be it?
All of my gauge lights are out, but the other lights (window/doors, HVAC, etc) work just fine. They would turn off for a second or two and then come back on...then they eventually went out completely. Fuses normally don't do that. I'll check the fuse though if it is fused seperately than the rest of the lights.
It sounds like you may have a loose connection at the power supply for the UV tubes. Here's a shot of the power supply and it's power connection (green connector);

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. I was just hoping for a miracle.
I REALLY don't want to take out that entire instrument cluster. Don't I have to disassemble the entire dash to get that out of there and check that PSU connection? Any words of wisdom on the tear down? I've been putting this off until I have my house and a larger garage to work on the car. Closing on the house on the 10th...finally!
Thanks for that photo, I really appreciate it.

He was on at 10:51 am today I took the time to go out to my garage, uncover the car, get the manual ,look up the info, post it and put the manual away and recover the car. It was like 9:45pm, thinking the guy needed help asap as he posted.
I hear ya Lately Ive noticed a trend of people that title a post like "Need Help ASAP!!" and you go in and see his turn signal is blown or something (three on first page at the moment).
I guess people forget that many members visit the forum every day, they "like" reading about problems and helping others with what they have learned and dont particularly need CAPS or !!! or ASAP or "I need it bad" in the title, they are going to answer you anyway
I know when its "your" car and something is wrong you may get a little nutz, but if you are here a while you will notice that this place is one of the best. The help and guidance flows like water, naturaly, you dont need to push it
Save the !!! Help.....flags for when you are stuck somewhere on the road, you might even get someone to come out and give you a hand, its what we do
Gauge lights on until ignition is moved to run position or started
Hello, My gauge lights all work on my 2000 Corvette until I turn ignition to run and start. When I’m the run or started position the gauge lights turn off and will not come on with dimmer switch. They stay off until I go back to the acct. position on the ignition. All related fuses have been checked and are fine. Any ideas? Thank you for any help.
