The tech sections sticky is a mixture of mods and tech, which should really be seperate. When I need to FIX my car, would be easier to have a seperate section. Conversely, if I want to MOD my car a seperate section (or sticky) as well.

Isn't there a way to post pictures without using outside sources so that the photos don't disapear?

It would be nice to see a DIY section that only had how-to's in it and locked for comments. That way it remains a strictly technical section with DIY projects and any comments/etc. can be made in a new thread in the general section.

Default Wow I cant believe this. even the old timers have forgotten

This forum is Ten Plus years old.. and many old timers have said we need a DIY forum. FYI there has been one here for almost ten years,..it has always existed here... I have personally added several tips to this forum
Just click on (others drop down) up in the red banner menu. then click on tech tips, then C5, then look for your issues.. for years this tech tip forum has been barely supported by the admin. I submitted hundreds of tech tips only to find that no one was overseeing it...Its already there, but possibly a liability issue for the forum... can you imaging the guy who was packing his drive belt system bearings with wheel bearing grease, and someone destroying their motor because of this tip and that person sues the Corvette forum because it was advice given by this specific forum... with over 300,000 members I can see many people wanting to add their own tip, but that takes someone to read and decide if the tip is safe, and then post it and monitor input and output, etc. while the idea is great, it hasn't worked well here over ten years

The point I was making was that the site already exisits and has existed for ten years... they stopped posting tips on that part of the forum for over five years even though it was there , I was told by Dave and Jim and a few others that they had no one to over see it... I even offered to filter out the BS... I was responding to this thread in as much as it was always here.. but no one seems to realize it...even the old timers forget that it was there....that is obvious by this thread... liabilities can still be litigated even with a disclaimner.

We use to have a babes section here too... that lasted a four or five years... I think early on, it was the most popular site on this forum.
