Help!!!!! Oil leak!
Hello guys, I am a first time corvette owner. I've got a 99 FRC 6-speed with 150,xxx miles.
Some background on the car; I purchased the vette from a guy who bought it off of a lady friend of his after she drove it into some muddy ditch. The lady lived in California and would drive to Texas and back every month or so, hence the mileage.....anyways, heres the problem...my baby leaks oil & and starting to bug the hell outta me, everyday theirs a little more oil than there was the day before. And as far as I can see, the harmonic balancer has slightly scraped against the rack & pinion....so this leads me to think that the problem has to do with the timing cover seal/harmonic balancer...if theirs anyone in the Houston area who would like to help out a fellow vette enthusiast in checking out/diagnosing the problem, I'd GREATLY appreciate the help.

I suggest a forum member in your area have a look see of your car. Don't drive your car, let it set untill you find out if the pulley has moved forward & where the oil is coming from. That will be quite the job if it is the pulley. There are plenty of excellent Corvette shops in the good ol state of Texas. Good luck.
