Good advice on pre-fitting the spoiler, sanding where needed before paint and tape application here.

One thing not touched on and I feel is VERY important on the install. As you are ready to install, all tape on and peeled, ready for positioning, proceed like this:

It is best to have 3 people, but two will work. One on each side and one in the very back.Get the spoiler "hovering" around where you want it to go,maybe an inch or so above the bumper(use the 3rd tailight cut-out to center from the rear).

Start at the very back of the spoiler, making sure it is centered from side to side.
ThenANGLE the spoiler slightly(higher in the front, lower in the rear)then the rear guy must push completely forward to contact the bumper first!

Then rotate it down and press into place......DONE!

I have seen them put on incorrectly and they look OK,but you get a two tier "step"at the trunk if not pushed completely forward.

Trust me on this, most get it right, but if you don't it just doesn't look.......well... right!

You can get some adhesive primer at any auto paint store that will make the tape stick like crazy. I don't know if that is what PrepSol is, may be the same thing. The primer I got from my local paint shop came in a small cotton tiped vial or as a small towel in a package similar to those hand sanitizer cloth size packages.

you just wipe the area down with the primer that your going to apply the tape to, let it dry for a couple minutes, then stick the tape. It would also help the tape stick to the spoiler if you still need to apply the tape to the spoiler. When you're finished remove any over wipeage you may have made with wax.

I was told that it temporarily softens the paint a little so that the tape adhears better.
