No, according to Gene Culley.

Thanks, you just saved me $246! Think I'll get the drilled/slotted rotors from Gene instead.

Hate to rain on your parade, but if you don't mind cleaning your wheels every week, I'd shy from the slotted rotors, just stick to Drilled. It took me a while to get just Drilled rotors (from Canada), everyone is hyped up on the Drilled/Slotted. They do stop better but they also make tons of brake dust. Again for street driving, Drilled will work fine, look cool and improve braking. You will get tons of remarks on Slotted vs Drilled, but GM engineers offer Drilled Rotors only on the stock Z06, and ZR1 (well carbon drilled only), so they know something about braking than backyard engineers. Good luck, and this is just my experience and opinion, do what you want with your ride, I'm not cleaning your wheels so you don't have to listen to me at all.. I've own my ride for 2 years, and have only washed it 3 times, I use California Duster and the vette, garage it all the time.. Enjoy the ride....
