50th Anniversary
I understand 2003, Anniversary Red with a lite tan interior, auto or manual........but that's all I have heard and there are a lot of 'advertised 50th cars on the web and most are different than what I've been told.
Thanks for the direction.

Included the Magnetic Ride, special badging and one-year Anniversary body paint, and wheel color.
All Corvettes built in 2003 were 50th anniversary cars, only those with the 1SC option code are 50th Anniversary Edition Corvettes.

To help clear the confusion the opening poster may have, many sellers of '03s will state the words "50th Anniversary" in their ads based on the nose and rear badges of all '03s that have the 50th Anniversary wording on them.
The 1SC option package; sticker priced at $5,000 new, is hardly a "limited" edition, as 11,000 of the 35,000 total '03 units produduced, came with the 1SC option package. 7,000 were verts, 4,000 coupes.
Also, to clarify - the anniversry edition specific wheels are indeed painted aluminum. The color is "champagne" and has a specific center cap with a dark red C5 logo.
A comment on the paint. It contains xirilic oxide flakes, that lay flater than other metal flakes, so more can be used, which results in the glow in the sun effect.

Some will Confirm or Deny??
Even if an optional item on the AE; they weren't a standard item of the Anniversary Edition Package; and that's what the OP is asking about... the AE Package trim level equipment.

The flakes are in the paint as he explained. It is quite a different type of paint and obviously looks really killer in the sun or brite lights.
The clear-coat is a tinted clear. Most clear-coats are just that: clear, but again this effect uses a different.
In talking with repair facilities, they do say that matching this paint is quite a challenge. Obviously there are issues with both the flake and the tinted coat. But, as a side note, I ordered a spoiler from RPI, and even after 6 years of owning my AE, the color-match was absolutely perfect. Granted that mine does spend a lot of time in the garage (only 33K on the clock) but time is time.
Rant over.........drive and enjoy !!
