In my last 8 years of driving performance cars I hardly ever get challenged/paced/rev’d at. I don’t go out looking for it nor do I normally even make eye contact with those types of cars passing me by.
One funny thing that happened to me a about a month ago coming back from a spirited drive in the Loess Hills of Iowa. I had my cruise set on 60 (speed limit 55) and was following a Silverado going slightly faster. A red 24V Cummins pulled out on the HWY in front of us causing us to slow to around 45mph. I safely/normally passed the Silverado and then the Ram in 6th gear. I proceeded to set the cruise back to 60. After a bend in the road I see a black puff of smoke from the Ram and he does a real nice ricer fly by complete with 4 way flashers. Sure I could have down shifted to 3rd and walked him easily before he even passed me but what would that have proven? Instead I posted on Cummins Forum in the Iowa section with his plate number asking if anyone knew him and posted a similar synopsis of the incident. I have a 12V so I visit that forum often.
To everyone else it was the same thing...a stupid stunt. You're the type of driver that gives other Corvette owners the bad rep that we sometimes have.
I get taunted daily at stop lights, from ricers to GT's. I ignore them and the stupid things they do because that's the right thing to do.
well id honestly like to think and i know that i do not give vette drivers a bad rep. I 99.9 % of the time drive normal and dont initate anything. This was just that one .1% that hit me the wrong way. I'm not perfect nor do i preach perfection. But i will say that i do not drive in a manner that will give any corvette owner a bad name.

Bad name.........An d where do the bad names go? On a master list that is distributed to every registered corvette owner, and when you show up at an event you are shunned because you give every corvette owner a bad name.

Don't sweat No-Mrcy....Lander can't tell the difference between and C5 and a C6
I don't have any issues....things are fairly lame in Overland Park, KS. Since I installed a new motor most kids in their mustangs/f-bodies just give a friendly nod or thumbs up. Maybe it's the way the car shakes when sitting at a light.
It's funny, I've had my car for three years and I haven't had anyone want to race me. Now, in my old car, a 1993 modded rx7tt, I had people want to race me all the time.

Yeah, well, Mustangs still are the suck. (and so are my aging eyes ).
My point is we know what our cars are capable of, and we also know that the place to demonstrate that is on the track. Let the other idiots pay all the tickets that they want...don't let them entice you into things you know you shouldn't do.
And yes...sometimes I like to go over the edge to make my point.
i guess i'm the only one on here who likes to have a little fun on the street. yup that's right you read correctly, i don't always shift before 2k rpms when i drive mine(on the rare occassion). not saying i go around hunting for civics or something, but you gotta here her sing everyonce in a while...
Must be coming from the country cause Seoul leaves Atlanta in the dust. 5th largest in the world w/12M and traffic flows w/o a finger.
Tell you what..... drive your nice yellow 'Vette on Pleasant Hill road for one month past all the Korean strip malls, and let me know if you feel the same way.

Yes, it never ceases to amaze and amuze me how many a-holes there are out there who want to "play" with me when I'm driving the Vette. Around here, it seems to be guys in Altimas, for some reason, along with the assortment of SUVs and pickup trucks.
I have a favorite spot with a huge 180 degree exit ramp up and over an interstate highway. Love it when a jerk in an SUV tailgates me up the ramp. I maintain speed, downshift into third and power around the turn without ever hitting the brake. The Z06 goes around like it's on rails. The SUVs, and most other cars for that matter, suddenly go into panic mode as they can't hold it in the turn. I've seen more that one guy in a truck or SUV hit the curb. Serves them right. But doubt if they learn their lesson.
Most of the time, I just ignore them. It ain't worth getting a ticket for racing, or worse, getting involved in a wreck, just to prove a point.

haha that sounds just like me. i love coming to a clover leaf entrance ramp and someone is riding my rear since i don't go 20mph over the limit through town. i just take the turn without ever slowing down and suddenly they're a half mile behind me
The azzkissers/hypocrits here that claim to follow the limit or barely go over it.
So you're in a Corvette and you drive the 35mph limit on a cloverleaf in sunny dry weather?! F-U... liars..... My daily beater Ford Tore-asZ can relax while hitting 10 over in the same spot and that's normal driving.
Driving slowwwwww in your Corvette and posting about it here on this site, when I see some of the same HYPOCRITS on other sites posting how they REALLY drive....
