Mr. Bill or any of you other Reno/Sparks vette owners. Who in Reno/Sparks would you recommend to mount and balance that have a Hunter Road Force balancer and know how to use it? Got my new wheels and tires gathered up and need to get them finished up. The Tire Rack provided a list of shops that use the Road Force balancer, I just need to know which one is reliable and knowledgeable in it's use.
Also need to know of a really good alignment shop.
Thank you,
Pete O.

If there is a Discount Tire in your area go there...they do a fantastic job here in Michigan, and I would expect the same all over the country...they always let me stand nearby and watch as they mount and dismount everything. And, we always have a dialogue going on how the wheels are balancing. They show me the numbers on the Hunter and I write them down. If you get any nibble later in the steering wheel they will re-balance them free, of course. Once they even got me a free pilot sport tire to solve a problem...amazing in today's economy.

Thank you very much for the tip but unfortunately there's no Discount Tire in Reno, not in the phone book, anyway. That sounds like wonderful service, the kind I dream of.

Call off the hunt! I found a place that came highly recommended in Sparks. It's Gilson's Auto Body and Floyd is waaay gathered up on his Hunter GSP9700 Road Force Balancer. I'm on my way there now. Just 230 miles away. Livin in the boondocks is gettin old!!

Hey Pete, I have had Big O on Pyramid and Greenbrae do mine at 2 different times, Rears first and then a few months later the fronts, Not really sure what type of machine they have, But I am happy with the work, To be safe they did my car outside with a floor jack, I asked why and he said he would rather do it that way than take a chance going up on the lift.
