sun visor removal

Default sun visor removal
I bought some used visors from a forum member a while back and i'm just getting around to installing them. I removed the old one with no problem. Then I noticed the new one does not have the locking bezel on it. That is the round piece that locks the visor in place. Is this piece removable from my old visor? Has any one done this?
