Do you remove the front spoilers and air scoop? I would think that the air scoop would scrape on everything. I am planning on getting the Fat Mammas to help with scraping.
Smart move on the Ma Ma's. Next smart move would be Rocker Savers. The 3 pc air dams are not to worry about. Yes they will rub and wear down from coming in contact with the concrete, etc on steep grades, speedbumps, etc.

If you are referring to the black 3 pc. "air dam" under the front of the car, DO NOT remove it! This is an integral part of the cooling system of the C5 since it is a "bottom feeder".
The middle piece is spring loaded so that it won't get too damaged when you do scrape, or hit a parking curb. It will, or may, get scraped up if you lower your car, but is inexpensive to replace if necessary.
I have read, here, where folks have shortened them, which should be fine if they are shortened by the same amount that the car is lowered.

Yes.....
You will overheat if you remove the center air dam. Its what directs air into the radiator.

CCA. "Custom Corvette Assessories". You will see their add to the left on this page. Once your on their site you will see pictures of the unit & pricing. It is a as set of double wheels to install & it protects the bottom nose from serious damage.
we have a set of bumper savers on order but for us the damage is done, the paint is scuffed below the pint of the nose. will have to replace and paint the front nose at some point.
I have almost 600 HP and I lowerd the car and took them off added rocker savers and I never over heat even with the AC on in 90 degree temps cruzing slow at the beach. The SC kit does change the angle of the rad I think so that may make a difference, I'm not sure. I left them on at first but they made a racket "all" the time

Thats why it is best to think things through before doing mods.
Going to lower car? #1 Do research from previous posts. #2. Buy your parts. Front & rear bolts. Front frame savers. Side rocker savers. #3 Lower front first, then the rear. #4 Adjust /Readjust ride height to your likeing. #5. If your like me, remove adjusters,front/rear springs & go w/coil overs. #6. Realizing after the fact that I should have done that from the beginning. But hey, I'm from the "show me state". LOL!!

me too. but i bought the car that way. i'm ok with it since i drive the car a good bit and i don't have to worry about scuffing a nice bumper, but i still wish it looked better.

That's what I would do too but they cost too much money.
