I turned the T/C off to spin the tires horsing around one day with a guy from work. The tires are old and hardand while spinning(not a romp down fish tail spin) just enough to break loose spin We both hear a Squeek Squeek noise. I said it was the tires, hes says he never heard tire spin squeek like that.
It did it again with T/C on. I felt the tire break loose heard the noise then T/C took over. It sounds like a belt slipping but it comes from the rear of the car.
Anyone with ideas or similar experience with old hard tires?
I do not go around trying to lay drag, I just was being silly one day. The second time it happend I stabbed it while rounding a corner with the T/C on and I heard it then but not as bad as the first time. I do not have the select a ride so I do not have the competion mode if this is what you are talking about.
Those are 2 different things. Competitive driving mode turns off traction control, but leaves on active handling. Next time you're in your car hold down the traction control button for 5 seconds and watch the DIC.
I do not have the select a ride so I do not have the competion mode if this is what you are talking about.
As previously stated, just hold your button down for 5 (or more) seconds until you see "Competition Driving" pop up on your DIC. Much better way to go safely.
cool I'll try That compition driving. I believe I will like that because i know I do not like the T/C because of the way it grabs. I was told I will learn something new about the C5 just when you think you know everything.
not sure about that, could be, both times I was just coming of the brakes. Once was at a stop light and the thick white line on the rode was what I thought it might have been. The second time was at a stop sign making a right hand turn and trying not to make on coming traffic have to apply their brakes.
