When my car had stock rims and only a flip-tie mod. I did 171-173mph. My car is equipped with 2.73 rear. i was going by the HUD, so that could be off some.
Had my 04 coupe to 165 on the interstate 8 about 30 miles west of Yuma. Was running in 6th at 75mph and just put it to the floor. At 165 it was as steady as at 65. Man what a super car
2.73 equipped cars won't shift to 4th, so top speed is reached in third. although I thought it would still get to low 170's.
do you recall you RPM?
At 6000RPM with a 26.5 in tire you're caclulated top speed should be about 173.
173 is the figure I see most as the "quoted" top speed for an A4 coupe.
The 163 the OP spoke of is right about what I have seen many post as what they got their similarly equiped cars up to, you may want it faster, but you certainly dont have a problem they way it is
135 ish is all Ive had the space to get it up to in a safe place, someday Ill get some track time or a larger space to at least break 150 ish. That would only be to answer the inevitable question everyone asks . . ."how fast have you got it up to" . . .....there are probably a lot of cars that get to 130 ish, not sure how many break 150 stock, but its probably a much smaller number
Dont get to drive like that very often, but I wish I had a dime for every time Ive been asked the "how fast have you . . ." question. Im sure I could pay for a nice mod if I had all those dimes
to be honest I am not sure what gear I have but I do remember when I had it tuned he said according to the computer mine had the performance gear in it.
