I took my A4 2002 Z51 to the black rock desert and got to 160 and still had a bit more, 160 was good enough for me...lol

the GPS is what told me my speed, and my wheels are stockers off a 04....i just dont see why, i thought it would have had more in her. that was in overdrive at redline

According to your sig, you have chrome wheels. If that's the case, then your wheels are not stock. The chrome wheels were not offered on the C5's as an option.

Haven't come anywhere close to some of the speeds mentioned here. It would be my luck that if I really buried the pedal, right down the road would be a couple of LEOs just waiting for me.

2.73 equipped cars won't shift to 4th, so top speed is reached in third. although I thought it would still get to low 170's.
do you recall you RPM?
At 6000RPM with a 26.5 in tire you're caclulated top speed should be about 173.
