Subscribing - I plan on doing this too. I tried the static cling ones but they didn't "cling" so well...

You can remove the black plastic pieces under the bumper that are held on by 7mm screws and get your hand up there that way. That's how I did mine.

There are 2 ways to install them. The quickest way is to install them is a followed:
Your turn signal lights are spring loaded and thus at the top of the turn signal light up can push in inward. While your pushing inward you can simply install the black out and position it where it will seat into position. If your black out kit is plexi glass it will bend a little. Be careful, it will break. This is how I installed mine and I had no issues. The other way to install them is to place the car on ramps and unscrew @ 6 to 8 bolts inorder to remove the housing and then install the kit.

I know a lot of guys hate the static cling black outs because they fall off. I has them on my 92 Ruby for two years and the 99 for almost a year, They never fell off. The key to success is be sure to clean off the lenses with alcohol to be sure there is no wax on the glass. If they come loose, pull them off, clean them and clean the lenses. You can also stick them to a TV screen to charge them before installing.

its better to "sandwich" them between the lighting housing and the actual lens.

Bringing an old thread back to life.

Where can I find the static cling blackout turn signals for my 2004 Z06?
