My understanding is that those bezels twist free and can be finished however you'd like. I just have not had an opportunity to try. Once the shroud production is done I will have the test bench and the "extra set" back to play with. Not sure how powdercoating would affect the bezels but certainly painting or P-dippin' would work.
Might I suggest yours would look good with red shrouds and black bezels? However, I'm beginning to REALLY like the CF with the silver bezels...

I would think McMaster-Carr or Graingers would have a plug that will work but I think the shrouds are going to come out of the molds with the whole's formed and then cleared instead of just drilling them out. Should be cleaner and look more detail/quality oriented...

Really! That sounds great James! If the timing works out and MrGary's down with it, it's a good reason for an overnight trip north!

OK... so without reading through 38 pages of posts, how do I get these, and how much do they cost? They look freakin' phenomenal!

Scott

The final price and ordering hasn't been established yet.

Once it has we'll post up in this thread, lock it up, and start a new sales thread. Trust me guys you won't be able to miss it.

For reference our last GP for just the headlights (no shrouds) was $840 (May 2012). That is subject to change as the price of parts always seems to go up instead of down.

Did the gloss black thing with my set.

I took these off before selling my C5 so they'll be up in the parts section one day.

Been lurking in this thread for months waiting to see the final results; and they are AWESOME! These are the only acceptable upgrade to replace my headlamps I would ever consider doing. Let us know soon the cost; Christmas is coming soon.

Are these going to be available in fiberglass also or just CF?

Thanks!

Yes, but...
...would be my answer.

I'm initially investing in CF. We'll see how the molds hold up after 60 sets and go from there.
You should see these in person. They're sweet and still a just the first prototype.
I wanted to color match mine but now I'm not so sure. The fabricator promises the weave and finish will be perfect. I'm holding him to that, but truly don't think I'll have to.

Thanks.
M.

My lightly used system with halo rings is for sale in the parts section. Anyone looking to grab one of these at a good price should jump on it.

Wow. Beautiful work.

I just stumbled on this thread and have been trying to wade through some of the older threads, but I haven't been able to figure out what exactly is involved in the complete installation of these headlight assemblies. Anybody have a link to a summary?

Had a really good tech thread on another forum but it isn't available right now. JW, any way to access that, even just to save it in a doc?
Hope you don't mind Ed, quickest thread I could find...

...has it really been three years?
