1st painted mine red for a few years....then changed to black....did see a black C5 at a carshow that had the calipers powder coated white with black lettering....looked..
bet that looked sharp - but would be a PITA to keep clean
I'm waiting on my SS braided lines to get here. upgrading my caliper pistons too, supposed to conduct a ton less heat with SS than aluminum. so they are all here, car is up on the lift Busy weekend, need to check the fitment of some wheels. then do some cosmetic stuff front light blackouts fix the mesh in the passenger fender hole. Measure for a tiny muffler to make the sound just a little more crisp at idle. then get to work on the brakes.
Just my views yellow car looks better with black Caliper with white or yellow letter. Powercoated over and as shinny as it can be. Yellow is a bright color so chrome rims already stand out. Behind where the rims are paint that black.
I just installed painted calipers from Mike the Powdercoater. The workmanship was terrific. I wanted something different and since my car is Magnetic Red II, I went with a special silver with black lettering that Mike uses. With the clear coat on, the calipers look like highly polished aluminum, yet have all the durability of powder coating. With the Magnetic Red, I figured I was limited to matching Mag. Red, black or silver. I think Mike has two different silvers. I went with the lighter. The combination with the drilled and slotted GM rotors, and chrome wheels, looks subtle and classy.

i would say black with red corvette or red with black corvette depending on how subtle you want them.
That's what I did. Painted the letters red, let them dry cover with a thin layer of chapstick, then painted the caliper black. After the black dries, just wipe the chapstick off.
Well, I am painting the brackets black for sure. I picked up some duplicolor engine enamel in blue I painted the rear caliper on there and will see how i like it. once i can stick it back on the car at least temporarily.
Thanks for all of the good posts, I"ll try to get some pics up as soon as i can. I'm also doing SS lines, and SS caliper pistons while I am at it.
