Yes! Double sided tape and you can use a hairdryer or a heat gun and some fishing line and run it along the back side and then use some adhesive remover to get the gummy stuff leftover

The only issues you may have with the removal is if the paint under the molding ends up being a slightly different shade due to fading of the rest of the car or the unlikely chance that you lift paint with the molding (very rare occurrance).

I removed mine the first week I got the car new from the dealer. Just be careful and slow taking them off. It just looks like an "add on" to me. It breaks up the clean lines of the car.
Be aware that depending on your car's age and sun damage to the paint, you might be able notice a difference in paint color after removing your BSM's. Exposed area vs non exposed area...
Seems from many posts over the years its a draw... 50% like them, and 50% don't like them.
The 98 I just got had them. Maybe it was because the double sided tape was 12 years old, but no adhesive remover/goof off/wd 40/hairdryer would make the gummy leftover easy to remove. I think I spent 4 hours picking at that stuff with my fingernails. LOL. Well worth it to get those stupid things gone. So a bit of advice, make sure you have plenty of time before you have to go anywhere in the car.
