Don't get me wrong - I love my clear corners with switchbacks from Jhonathan, but they're no as bright as I would like. I just changed my tail lights (which had the brightest LED bulbs I could find) for modded halos and the halos are much brighter. So I was thinking about what you could achieve with an integrated front corner light built with the same technology as the rear halos, maybe with a halo around the perimeter as the daytime running lights - it could be very
Maybe one of our vendors (JWM) could approach the manufacturer about building these. Opinions?
I've seen those LED strips, but the LED bulbs available still aren't as bright as the built-in LEDs on the Halos. The LED strips look good, but I'd hate to have some snotty Audi driver thinking I was trying to copy him.....
I don't know about that, I've got the halo tail lights as well and the front LED strip is pretty darn bright. Tstar was even talking about trying to tone his down a bit. To me the brighter the better. I do see your point about copying Audi, but I thought the look was just too cool to even worry about that.
My switchbacks are far brighter than my stockers were.
If what I'm gathering from your post is that you want to use waveguides that run around the perimeter of the corner housing, that sounds pretty cool. Especially if it's behind the lens itself.

I'm thinking this might be just a bit too much going on in that limited area but I've been wrong before...on numerous occasions! Maybe someone can do a photoshop to give us an idea what it would look like.

I think what you are proposing sounds pretty . If one of the vendors can do something like that and have it as a plug and play setup, I'd definitely be interested.

Plug and play like the rear halos is what I had in mind - it would need two connectors, one for the side markers and one for the DRL-turn signals, but we're only talking about two housings instead of four like the rears.
Since it would be a new integrated housing I was thinking of halos that followed the entire perimeter of the light with LEDs for the signals in the middle - similar to the rear halos.

Do you have a good corner pic without the led strip?
I made these about five years ago, the newer design is on the front but no video yet. I'm completing the newer designed rears now.http://www.schlafer.com/corvette/lights.wmv
