Depends on what you paln to do with the car. For normal street use the stock rotors are just fine. If you plan to track the car very much I would suggest something a little more stout. Presently I'm using Power Slot rotors and have been very happy with them so far.

Agreed.Plain rotors are just fine for street use.I'm going to UG mine with the ATE rotors.Made by Continential and they are mostly std rotors with an interesting wear slot and anti-rust coating.

Tirerack and others has them.

About $48 ea.

There are plenty of individuals using the stock rotors with more aggressive pads for track use, myself included. Run a search in the autocross/road racing section, you will see.

Yeah the stock rotors are ok on track. I recently found that the Centric Premium rotors (KNS brakes or Tirerack) hold up better and cost about the same or a shade less than OEM. I would use them.

All the research I've done shows the only difference in C5Z brakes is the red powdercoat. I haven't looked into Master cylinders, proportioning, or hard lines. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I ALWAYS thought c5z had different brakes than normal c5's.

I have a coupe and a Z, the braking system is identical with the exception of the pad material and the color of the rotors.
