Okay...Got no hits on the Tech Forum, so I'm sorry if I fooled you with the title. But install help really IS needed...Can anyone share a picture of their FRC / Z06 / Vert cargo net INSTALLED? I bought one off of ebay recently and I'm convinced it's not the right net. (It was listed as Vert/FRC). Alternatively, if someone has the net, maybe measurements of it stretched and unstretched can help me verify that I have the right one.
I've seen the threads where people cannot find the upper mounting nuts. My car DOES NOT have anything on the upper side of the trunk. I have four nuts, all at the rear of the trunk near the bumper.
WTF? I can put friggin' headers and a Vararam in but can't get this net in! It is possible it's in there correctly, but it seems like the top part of the net is loose or too large. I thought maybe it was to cover or contain a larger load within the net?
If you have the correct net it will be obvious. The one designed for the coupe will not work on the FRC or the Vert.
There should be two loops on each end of the net that slip over the two nuts towards each side of the rear wall of the trunk and secure and are held securely by the two curved arm like appendages on each nut. The open end of the net faces up with the highest side towards the front of the car. You will need to hook one end first then stretch the net and secure the other two loops and that's it.
Installs in less than a minute if it is the right one!
0331Marine...Yes, it's the net. Thanks for serving.
RJRSW...Yes. Two loops on each side. I put the long end towards the front as you said, and then there's something that I can only explain as a "flap" that looks like it could cover up whatever is in the net...? The net itself is tight, but not that flap.
I guess if it's the wrong one, that's what I get for trying to save a few bucks.
