There are many threads on this topic: briefly the incandescent bulbs melt the top of the housing, allowing water to enter. Most likely your bulbs blow soon after you have washed the car. Solution; pull the housing and epoxy the top where it has cracked/melted. Or better yet, get new housings from JWMotoring and put in LEDs that won't melt the new ones.

The turn signal housings also have a tendency to just crack over time and that allows moisture inside.

You probably have a crack in the top of your housing from the heat generated from the bulb. When water is introduced the bulbs blow.
Our corners and led packages help stop this. I would check the sockets as well for corrosion etc. If they look bad I would go ahead and replace those too. They're fairly cheap.
I'm guessing this is your problem ... bulb heat cracks the housing then water gets in.
If its not too bad, you can patch it with silicon sealer. Otherwise get new fixtures. I got a set for about $60. LED's will keep it from happening again, but then comes another issue. Signals will hyperflash like when a bulb is out. Then there's a bunch of crazy stuff to solve that, new flash, balast resistors,...
Easiest thing to do is pull fuse #2 so Daytime Run Lights are off.
I have a used 2001 and the front right turn signal isn't working. I noticed this due to rapid flash on the dash. Does this mean a previous owner installed LED lights? More importantly, I simply wanted to remove the bulb so I could replace it, but I don't know how to even remove the bulb. I don't have an owners manual, but I downloaded one for another year (2000). I can't get my hand in edgewise to remove the bulb. Any advice?

Go in through the brake cooling duct, just push the hose back and reach in to the left you will be able to feel the socket, you will have to squeeze and twist (I think it's counter clockwise) and the socket and bulb will drop down out of the housing, there is enough slack in the wiring to pull it out through the duct, change the bulb and reverse the process. Takes a couple of minutes.
Oh, and the rapid flashing is probably from a burned out bulb....more than likely not LEDs.

Yeh, you can go through the brake cooling duct if you have fairly small hands and writs. I can just barely do it and alway tell my g/f to check on me now and then in case I get stuck. She can get her hand in easily, but I haven't been able to make her understand how to get the socket out.
