Default Chrome Acorn Nuts

I am interested in purchasing Chrome Acorn Nut to replace the stock nuts that hold the Radiator overflow tank and the washer tank.

Does anyone know the correct size to look for and the thread pitch??

Better yet does anyone have these or know where I can purchase them.

thanks

Once you establish the thread/pitch, you can contact this company. They supply show chrome fasteners for cars and motorcycles...

www.gardner-westcott.com

Or check with your local well supplied ACE or TRUE VALUE hardware stores. Both should carry a good supply of chrome metric and SAE fasteners. Ask a clerk to confirm. Some smaller franchise stores may not keep them in stock.

Go to the fastener (bolts/nuts/washers) aisle. I can't think of the name of the manufacturer off hand, but the fasteners are in large gray bulk cabinets, usually at the end of the bulk fastener wall.

Most motorcycle shops (USA and metric bikes) should carry them as well.

That's where I would look. Perhaps the friendly clerk at the hardware store would go with you while you take some samples out to test the fit on the car.

Take one off and with you to the hardware store. Find a metric bolt that fits and that's your size.
