Never seen these before. I was just getting ready to install fat daddys this weekend. Would this be better option?

IMHO you will be significantly lowering your ground clearance and will be hitting everything with the wheels. Doesn't solve the problem. The object is to protect the radiator mount.

Thought that was idea, when wheels hit it raise the car body for more clearance. Not sure how it doesnt protect the frame/radiator mount?????????

Hi,
The The Fangs work great with forward and reverse scrapes.
Check out these two videos.

Thanks flynbyu2 and we are glad they are doing there job for you!

Thanks!

Are these going to come out in any different colors besides white? If so, I will be the first to buy a set of the colored ones. I vote for Black or Millennium Yellow

Hi,
This type of plastic is only available in white. There are some materials that come in black but is a different type of plastic and doesn't come close to performing like the Plastic were are using and we have test several different types of plastic hoping to get one that would work that was black. But you know when we put the first prototype on in white it look looked good (kind of like Fangs) and combined with being 6 times more abrasion resistant than steel, not affected by temperature(for those living in icy cold temps) ,you only loose 1/8" of ground clearance, they cover the complete skid plate, the impact is centered on the skid plate not on the side of it, they only weigh 5oz for you that worry about weight.
Also no drilling for the C5 Fang install. The C6 requires two small holes and we supply the drill bit and stainless self tapping screws.

Christian,

Are these made from nylon or delrin? If so they can be dyed relatively easily with RIT dye. The dye will penetrate pretty deep but not completely.

HI,
We have tried dying, painting, staining and even a permanent
marker just wipes off.

Is this for real? You can't angle the car when turning into an embankment?

You know I think it's State law or something that all female Corvette owners have to post a picture of them self with their car

Hi,
I thought you might want to know some of the advantages of having Fangs. First is they distribute the load on the center of the skid plate where it is the strongest and can evenly distribute the impact, not on one side or the other where the side load can bend or crack the skid plate. Some people think plastic is not strong enough to take the abuse, the super performance plastic we use is 6 times more abrasion resistant than steel making them slide very smoothly over what ever they come into contact with. They perform perfectly in hot or cold weather. You will only loose 1/8” of ground clearance. There are no moving parts to wear out. They only weigh 5oz for those that worry about weigh . On the C5’s there is no drilling or modification needed to install them. The C6 requires two small holes and we supply the drill bit and the stainless steel self tapping screws. The Fangs look light gray when installed on the black skid plate. The Fangs give protection over the entire skid plate not just the bottom. So if you bump up on a parking block like we demonstrate in our video you are protected from the front to back from the highest point of the skid plate to the lowest. The Fangs look good, smooth and blend in with your Corvette. They don’t look like you just bolted something on to your skid bar, they like the belong.

Here is the C5 link

and the C6 link

And if you want to watch a couple videos
