Default Shift Light

Anyone using a shift light in their car? I have really gotten in to bracket racing since it is pretty much the only racing my local track has and I am thinking I could be more consitant with a shift light. I don't want a huge light bolted to my dash...something, small and bright that can be installed without messing up the interior...any suggestions?

Check out Rapture Shift Light. There quite small. Also you may want to install a line loc, for easier burn outs to get the rear rubber Sticky, for better launches.

I have heard that a good tuner can reprogram the "shift 1 to 4" light to disable CAGS and light up at whatever RPM you want. Kind of cool if it's really true, and you wouldn't have to mount anything on your interior.

I found Raptor shift lights but not Rapture with my google search, The Raptor ones look like what you were explaining.....I really don't have any problems doing a burnout with the Mickey T Et Streets so I really don't have any interest in a line lock. I am going to see if I can find the paramaters for the 1-4 shift light in HP tuners....Thanks for the help

The Datatool Revlights worked well for motorcycles and work in cars too. I believe they can be programmed to come on all at once or sequentially. They are flexible so they can be mounted on curved surfaces.

I believe the run about $85.

Do you know where to find these? It appears they are no longer sold, also they make a gear indicator for bikes that I would be interested in finding.

Raptor is the way to go. They have a dual mod. You can set a launch RPM and a shift RPM.
